Packing for a hospital can be a bit stressful, especially if it’s your first time and you’re not sure what to expect.
Before going to hospital it’s good to find out what’s already provided in your room so that you don’t waste space in your bag with unnecessary items.
If your partner or husband stays in hospital with you, pack a separate bag with him. Don’t forget to include some snacks and plenty of water.
Eye mask and ear plugs might also come in handy in noise hospital wards if you’re trying to get some sleep. Your newborn won’t need too much for the few days he will stay there, most importantly nappies, nappy cream, baby wipes, muslin squares (see below), sleep suits (see below), hats and some warm blanket (see below).
