Pregnancy Art? I have never heard of such a thing until I saw it on some of my friend’s IG newsfeed. It would be an understatement if I said I was not beyond mesmerized by how beautiful it can be.

Enough talking and let’s get down to business. We’ve scoured Instagram for you and we’ve come up with a mesmerizing list. Without further ado, here is our top pregnancy art pick.

1Emoticon Pregnancy Art

Recognize the baby? Yes, he’s the famous baby emoticon you see on your cell phones. I would not have thought of this, but it is simple and very relevant!

2Floral Enchantment

I kind of have a feeling this mom and daughter duo are into fairies and woodland creature stuff. The ones that you’d expect to come out of a Disney movie. Either way, it’s beautiful!

3Full Body Galaxy

If you’re not mesmerized by this, I don’t know which pregnancy art will. That’s like an entire galaxy painted on a pregnant body. It’s so beautiful in a way that transcends even art at it’s finest.

I love getting henna tattoos and I will definitely do this when my bun is almost out of the oven! The intricate patterns just make me want it more!

Now, here’s a mom who’s undeniably a Disney fan! She said ‘another painted baby.’ I wonder what other Disney characters she painted her belly with before this!

7December Baby

I take it she’s due in December? That is the most perfect Christmas ball I’ve ever seen! If only you can hang that on the tree!

8Alice in Wonderland

Alice in Wonderland henna? Why the heck not? Find yourself a really good henna artist if you want something as intricate as this. It might take a few hours of sitting still, but it’s going to be so worth it.

9Stork Delivery

If you’ve seen the recent hit animation movie, Storks, you’d want to get this done on your pregnant belly, too! Take it in – the warm colors and the perfectly blended shadows. Now, that’s top of the line pregnancy art!

10Bohemian Chic

Colorful bohemian-ish pregnancy art is love! This looks like it was taken right out of a very well liked Pinterest board. It doesn’t look asymmetrically perfect, but you can’t help but love it as well!

11Glow in the Dark

The idea of your pregnant belly glowing in swirling patterns is so exciting! If you already have kids, they’ll get one heck of a knack for this! In case I decide not to get the henna, this will very well be my second choice!

12Psalm 23

I would not mind painting the entire chapter of one of the Bible’s greatest promises onto my belly. This will remind me of the great things in life and teach my baby the same thing as he grows up.

13Pumpkin Patch

If I didn’t know I was doing a piece about pregnancy art, my eyes would have been tricked! It looks so real the thought of it being a painted belly will not even come to mind! I would think she was really holding a pumpkin against her stomach.

Yup. That’s pretty much what you’ll expect to get when your bun is out of the oven! Ever heard of the Precious Moments characters? That’s what this reminds me of. Look it up and you might get the same feel!

17My World

I’m not entirely sure, but this photo gives me a feel she’s a single mom and her entire world is now inside her growing belly. Such a profound message from an art so simple!

18Subtle Announcement

This would be perfect to send as a photo update to your family and friends! Why didn’t I think of that? Okay, bookmarked!

19Graphic Art

I am in love with this pregnancy art thing! I’m really into graphic art and this is so perfect! Yet another entry bookmarked for future reference!

20Growing Tree

What’s the first thing you thought of when you saw this? I saw a growing tree – which is basically what pregnancy is. You grow it until it bears fruit. Message in a picture.

21Mother Elephant

Did you know elephants have one of the strongest maternal instinct among all the other species in the animal kingdom? They endure a whopping 22-month pregnancy each time! The message in this pregnancy art cannot be missed. This mom will protect her child even if it means her life.

Are you thinking about getting pregnancy art soon or the next time you’re pregnant?

I would not discourage you at all. In fact, I would encourage you to do that! I’m a body art advocate and having that beautiful pregnant belly in the mix makes it even more beautiful!
