I don’t live on a farm, but if I would, I would imagine childhood looks something like this.
Watching early mist on the lake with your brother, hugging your dog that’s a size of a horse, walks in the wilderness with your mom and a lot of cozy moments by the fire.
That’s the world of Russian photographer Elena Shumilova who has been capturing beautiful images of her two kids and their farm animals. What started as a hobby has now turned into viral images shared around the world. What is her secret?
Elena revealed in an interview for 500px that she takes spontaneous photos of her kids and also spends some time planning her locations and drawing ideas on paper before proceeding with shoot. She makes not secrets of the weapons of her choice – her Canon 5D Mark III and set of lenses 85mm f/1.2 L2 USM and 135Mm F2.0/L USM.
She doesn’t take any paid photographing work, but you can buy most of her prints through her 500px profile.
Put your feet back, a cup of coffee in your hands and enjoy these wonderful images full of emotion and sentiments.
