Must-See Christmas Decorations in New York

Sharing is caring!

There’s no other city that I have seen put as much effort into Christmas decorations than New York City, which alone is reason enough to pay a visit during the holiday season.

After witnessing the spectacular light shows, and massive holiday displays, it’s hard to imagine how someone can be in a hurry. For someone wanting to bask in the Christmas

Vibes of New York, there is no place quite like NYC.

As I consider myself a huge Santa and Christmas admirer, I’ve decided to put together a small list of places that should not be skipped during my trip to NYC and should be on your list as well.

Whether you are a local or just visiting, all of these places are bound to bring a smile to your face.

Fox Square: Star of the season

The first is Fox Square, which could easily become your favorite. In case you’ve ever had the chance to walk around the Fox News headquarters during the Christmas season, you certainly know what this is all about.

Their display is loud, bright and every essence of Christmas.

A huge Christmas tree shines above the square, lit up by thousands of lights and ornaments in warm colors. It’s just inevitable that you don’t stop for a while and take a picture.

What will undoubtedly strike you as the greatest charm of this installation is that it exhibits both a timeless holiday spirit and a contemporary, elegant style.

This is the ultimate proof that commercial Christmas decor can be considered old and new at the same time.

1221 Avenue of the Americas: Holiday Elegance On Display

Just a few minutes’ walk away from the Rockefeller center and you will find 1221 Avenue of the Americas, another holiday decorations that is worth seeing.

This space does not lack polish at all as the thoughtfully crafted holiday decor elevates an ordinary office building to a winter fantasy.

The Plaza’s light installations are by far the most extraordinary part of this display. It’s those places in the city where even the decor illuminates such that you are almost embraced by the festivity.

You don’t have to be necessarily taking a holiday stroll or avoiding the hustle and bustle of the Rockefeller Center. Rather, it is an enchanting and captivating place to stop and enjoy the time that one could spend during the holiday season.

Cartier 5th Avenue: Decorations Over The Top

You may have spotted it on a multitude of posts on Instagram but Cartiers’ main store rents out the building turn out to be a showroom during the time of Christmas. It is all adorned and dressed—they’re not lying.

The entire premise morphs into a Christmas present, embellished with a crimson bow that encircles the building.

It’s the perfect mix between classy and childish holiday spirit and honestly, it’s an image that one’s brain is not likely to erase.

Every aspect is perfect right from the building itself to the light including the accents that sparkle and allow the entire edifice radiates pure James C. Stewart essence. If there is one particular point that yells out Glad Christmas from New York is this.

Water Street Tampa: Holiday Spirit Lawsuit

Well this one is not technically in New York but I had to throw in as it’s just that great. Water Street Tampa transforms Christmas into an elegant Florida coastal getaway which gives New York a run for its money in terms of decorations.

This is certainly not what a typical Christmas in July would look like, from giant Christmas Palm trees with Christmas lights and theme to this huge installation – Commercial Christmas Decor isn’t new either.

Here every single person willing to spend their time is a lucky one, it is nothing short of inspiration for a creative person.

Relevance for Commercial Christmas Decor

It is worth noting that the displays serve a particular function besides simply serving as eye candy. They evoke pictures while people are clicking with their families, while tourists look at the artwork, and locals are looking at the picture itself.

Let’s be real here, these ornaments are not only used to mark the occasion in celebration but also to beautify the surroundings within the context of this season only

This is how commercial Christmas decorations should be, and I for one can not have enough of Christmas decorations.

Schedule Your Holiday Trip

For those who wish to celebrate Christmas and New Year holidays in New York to the fullest, you may want to add these places to your list.

If you are located in Midtown or are moving about various boroughs, these sights are bound to bring the Christmas spirit within you.

And in case you find yourself in the mood to recreate such an ambiance in your home, go all out. Christmas is the exact time to unveil that added glitz and glam!
