5 Tips for Throwing the Perfect Holiday-Themed Party

If you’re wanting to throw a party based around a theme such as Christmas, Easter, St.Patricks Day, or whatever, then it needs to be apparent that the party itself is going to be a fun-themed party.

The holidays are just perfect, as they give people the chance to spend some quality time with family and friends while also sharing a good laugh.

Getting to rejoice with your favorite people under one roof is just incredible, and doing celebrations through a fun themed party will be one of the best ways to do that.

So wanting to throw the ultimate bash? Then there are some helpful tips on how you can achieve the most unforgettable holiday-themed party that’s going to be the talk of the town!

5 Tips for Throwing the Perfect Holiday Themed Party

1. Start by Sending Out Some Fun Invitations

This can include creating a guest list of some of the people that you’re hoping will attend such as friends, family, coworkers, and friends of your family members.

You can use Canva or even other websites for designing the invite. Whether you choose to print these or send them in PDF format is up to you. Just have some fun with making the invitation.

2. Bust Out the Colored Décor

Each holiday tends to have its own color themed. During the Christmas season, you’ll find green, red, and white.

For Halloween, it’s mostly red, black, and orange (and other dark colors). A holiday such as Easter is primarily springing colors like lavender, light green, sky blue, and yellow.

And let’s not forget about St. Patrick’s day, you can even get some nice funny st patricks day shirts, or else you’ll risk getting the ol’ pinch at that themed party.

Overall, this can be pretty easy, just having the colors in the space alone is going to make it apparent what theme the party is all about.

3. Don’t Be Afraid to Play Some Holiday-Themed Music

Nearly every holiday has some accommodating music. Everyone knows about the long list of overplayed (yet timeless) songs played during Christmas such as Mariah Carey’s “All I Want for Christmas is You”.

The “Monster Mash” is a classic for Halloween, Irish music is often played for St. Patrick’s day. In general, it adds a lot to the atmosphere by playing holiday-themed music.

But it’s not the only thing that needs to be played, so why not just mix it up a bit?

4. Don’t Skip Out on the Treats

What’s a party without some treats?  While you don’t have to make everything colored-themed.

Food and beverages are some of the most important parts of festivities. Food is what helps keep up the fun atmosphere, and the same can be said about drinks as well.

You can check out your local bakery to see if they will have anything based on the upcoming holiday that you’re about to celebrate. Themed food such as cupcakes, or you can easily make them yourself.

5. Play Some Games

Indoor party games are some of the things that make a party seem so fun! You don’t have to do anything major such as play any difficult games.

You can go simple with some Corn-Hole, Beer Pong, or even get some board games out. While it’s fun to have holiday-themed games, they’re not always necessary, sometimes just sticking to some of the classics is all you need.

Overall, it doesn’t need to be difficult to create this fun-themed party for the upcoming holiday you’re about to celebrate.

It’s all about the atmosphere and who you’re going to be celebrating this party with. So make sure to invite the people you love to be around and just have fun!
