Go green this St. Patty’s Day — and enjoy the beer!
St. Patrick is almost here, and we have picked some super easy and delicious St. Patrick’s Day food ideas that will go perfectly with beer.
This is the day when the major color for everything is green. Green clothes, and accessories, green shamrock decorations, funny leprechauns, colorful rainbow, and shining gold.
And all these St. Patrick’s day symbols can be involved in your festive menu.
Of course, the easiest way to represent St. Patrick’s Day in your dishes is to use green veggies as much as possible.
You can make a green platter with cucumber, celery, green peppers, peas, and beans. If you have more time to play in the kitchen you can cut cucumbers into small shamrocks, or at least add real ones as a decoration.
Include some more colors with different fruits, and represent the rainbow of St. Patrick’s Day. According to a legend, leprechauns used the rainbow to mark the way they have hidden their pods of gold.
Of course, make sure you have included something gold as an element to your festive menu. And do not forget the traditional Irish taste of Dublin coddle, served with classic dark beer.
I am not sure which of these delicious meals I will try, but I definitely will make an Irish coffee.
