Gender reveals are a thing now and people have been very creative, even to the point of crazy, with their ideas. Are you up for the simple or are you ready to cross over to the crazier and funnier side? Either way, it’s going to be special

1. Make Everyone Guess
Ask them to choose the team before you reveal the results – the winning team can get a bottle of bubbly or something original to celebrate.
Look around and you’ll see how this would serve as an icebreaker. You’re gonna hear moms telling each other the signs they see as to what gender you’re carrying. Dad’s would just be shrugging and just going with their best guess. You? You’d be snickering hearing all the assumptions.
2. Crack an Egg
Make yourself a golden egg that will reveal the gender of the baby, it can be hidden among other eggs and the person who finds the hidden message can win a prize.
This would be like an easter egg hunt for the grown ups. You can even plan dud eggs with a quirky text inside telling them to look for more eggs! I can already imagine your venue being torn down in lieu of the great search!
3. Cupcake Reveal
Brilliant and very simple idea – you don’t need to waste your time with baking, just find a professional to execute your idea! Simple tags can be printed and assembled at home.
What a sight it would be seeing all your friends and family gasping the moment they see the filling inside. Just imagine the puzzled look when they get both colors. It would take them a few seconds to realize you’re having twins! Then the squeals will follow.
4. Make a Scratchcard
Many companies offer custom made baby shower cards and this is just one of the options you can use for the reveal party. Not as exciting as the other ones, but if you prefer something simple this is the way to go. It could also be used to send to family and friends to announce the gender of the baby.
5. Hide the Message in Pinata
Fill the pinata with sweets and candies in shades of blue or pink to reveal the message. You’ll be taking your guest to a trip to their childhood by letting them have a go at the pinata. Or, you can have your parents do it. If your husband doesn’t know, have him whack it open.
6. Make Xmas Ornaments
Make your own xmas ornaments and hide them in a box or around the xmas tree. People don’t usually look over each ornament so you can only anticipate who will look and find out first. Your husband might not even notice you sneaked those in!
7. Pop a Balloon
Easy one, but makes a lot of mess! I would suggest doing this outdoor. And, the bigger the balloon the better!

Choose pink or blue filling inside to reveal your message. Have your baker put the filling way in the middle. That way, there will be a bigger element of surprise.
10. Fill Giant Box with Balloons
If you happen to store a spare giant box in your home, simply add balloons of your color and invite friends and family for the big reveal. Such a simple yet profound way of revealing. Maybe have the future grandparents open the box? ;)

Hand confetti stick to each of your guests and ask them to pop them the same time. Yes, it will be a lot of mess to sweep up. So, do it outside! Or have a vaccuum cleaner on standby.
