Outdoor Adventures for Easter

When the weather is warm, there’s nothing better than taking Easter celebrations outside.

A classic egg hunt never goes out of style. You can make it as easy or challenging as you like, depending on the age of your kids. Preschool-aged children love finding colorful eggs tucked into obvious spots, while older kids enjoy solving clues to discover hidden treasures.

Another idea is setting up a bunny hop race. Create a start and finish line in the backyard, hand out potato sacks or pillowcases, and let the kids jump their way to victory. It’s simple, it’s fun, and it guarantees a lot of laughter.

For a creative twist, try a nature scavenger hunt with an Easter theme. Write a list of items for the kids to find, like flowers, sticks shaped like bunny ears, or something yellow. You can even download printable scavenger hunt templates to make planning easier.

Diy Easter Crafts

Crafting is a fantastic way to engage kids and keep their little hands busy. Plus, it’s perfect for indoor days when the weather doesn’t cooperate.

One of my go-to activities is making Easter baskets. You can use simple materials like paper plates, construction paper, or even cardboard boxes. Let the kids decorate their baskets with markers, stickers, and ribbons.

They’ll be thrilled to fill their creations with eggs or candy later.

Decorating eggs is another timeless activity. Whether you use real eggs or plastic ones, the options are endless.

Try using shaving cream and food coloring for a marbled effect or stick to classic paint and brushes for a more traditional look.

If you’re feeling ambitious, create a diy bunny garland. Cut bunny shapes out of colored paper, let the kids decorate them, and string them together with yarn or string. It’s an easy way to add a festive touch to your home while keeping the kids entertained.

Simple Indoor Games

Easter activities don’t have to be elaborate to be fun. Sometimes, the easiest ideas turn out to be the most memorable.

A favorite in our house is “Pin the Tail on the Bunny.” All you need is a bunny poster (you can find printable versions online) and some cotton balls. Blindfold the kids, spin them around, and watch the hilarity ensue.

Easter bingo is another crowd-pleaser. You can find printable bingo cards with festive images like eggs, bunnies, and chicks. Grab some candy or small toys as prizes to make it extra exciting.

Don’t forget about storytelling. Gather the kids and read an Easter-themed book together. You can even act out the story with props or costumes to make it more interactive.

Classroom Easter Fun

If you’re planning Easter activities for a classroom, it’s all about finding options that are fun, manageable, and inclusive.

An egg relay race is a fantastic group activity. Kids can work in teams to carry an egg on a spoon across the classroom without dropping it. It’s an easy way to get kids moving and working together.

Printable coloring pages are always a hit with younger kids. Look for Easter-themed designs featuring bunnies, chicks, or crosses. Provide crayons, markers, and stickers to let their creativity shine.

For a more interactive option, set up an Easter trivia game. Prepare simple questions about Easter traditions, animals, or the spring season. It’s a fun way to combine learning with holiday excitement.

Wrapping It Up

Easter is a time for joy, creativity, and connection. With so many fun and simple activities to choose from, you can create lasting memories with the kids, whether you’re celebrating at home, in the classroom, or outdoors.

The best part? Most of these ideas are easy to set up and adapt to your family’s preferences. So, grab some craft supplies, print out a few templates, and get ready to enjoy a holiday filled with laughter, learning, and love.
